BLACKBERRY JELLY Blackberry Jelly is made from fresh juicy blackberries. Today the blackberries used to make our blackberry jelly is grown on farms here in the south. It has not been that many years ago when blackberry jelly was made from wild blackberries. These wild blackberries would grow in pastures, woods, along fence rows in fields and along the banks of country roads. We would pick them and then mother and grandma would make the blackberry jelly we would enjoy through the year at breakfast. Very little blackberry jelly today is made from the wild blackberries. The roads and fence rows are kept cleaner today and there is not a lot of wild blackberries growing. A larger and much juicier blackberry is grown in a row on many farms across the south. These blackberries are picked and used to make the blackberry jelly sold today. Blackberry jelly with peanut butter mad into a sandwich is a great snack, especially after school. A warm home made biscuit with blackberry is another really good treat. Get your supply of blackberry jelly and give your children or grandchildren a treat when they visit or at breakfast time. You may order several jars of blackberry jelly and other items at our online catalog.
